September 27, 1921.

Dear Mother,

I just got home from school to stay. A very unusual thing happened at school, at one o’clock I was talking through the hall with my hat, just as I got near the clothing closet, an other through his hat in the air, and I followed the example. First I missed it, then next time caught it and now comes the auful part. I through it up there was a place where it was caught on the side where it extended from isle to the other isle. Long with wood and there it stayed. At three I rushed home and father came up to my room. The janitor was sweeping in the room Father saw it and asked for his brush. Then father knocked it down. Today Miss. Steins class came to my room. Two arithmetic examples both wrong.

With love,

Arthur F. Stocker
