My Dear Mrs. Stratton: --

When the State Library Association met the members united in a little Memorial Service in honor of our dear Dr. Stratton, and I was asked to write you a little note which would convey to you our deep appreciation of his contribution to our Association. We have all felt that influence and it continues to live in our minds for one who was so truly a scholar and a gentleman in that fine sense of the word will not soon pass from among us in a spiritual manner of speaking. I am sure that he never quite realized just what it meant to us all to have him with us in the years after he undertook the library work, and we all were so glad to think of him as having belonged to us during that time.

With kind personal regards to you, I am

Very Sincerely

Clara A. Richards
