I hope you arrived safely at Uncle Blairs and didn’t meet too much rain on the way. Did driving with a strange driver tax your nerves very much?
Gee sweety, you left notes all over the house for me. I like to get’em that way. And regards the one on the gas stove, sure I forgives you. You knew that I wold before you wrote that note, didn’t you?
How long do you think I slept last nite? After you and your daddy left I came up stairs and ate a piece of cake and drank a glass of milk and then went to sleep (5:30) I got up for one hour (from 8 to 9) and went back to bed and slept until 6:30 A.M.! 12 hours sleep. Not bad, eh?
I am doing every thing you asked me to. Watering the fish, feeding the flowers and when i was ready to crawl into bed I found a note so I got right down on my knees and did what you asked me to do.
How is grandma? I hope she is feeling better. You know ones mind has a lot do with ones physical condition. (No, I am not a Christian Scientist.)
I just ate a chocolate bunny while I’ve been writing to you. No it isn’t my supper. Just an apetizer. (I hope that’s spelled correctly, but I doubt it.)
Say honey, you should see all the flowers coming up in the flower boxes. Or weeds, maybe.
I’m going to cut my finger nails when I am thru writing this letter and I’m not going to use your barber shears. I no forget.
Sweetheart, don’t forget to take good care of yourself and if you begin to feel badly go to see a doctor. Will you, huh? Please.
It was a good bit cooler today. Sorta cloudy and threatening rain.
I don’t know what I’ll do tonight. Guess I’ll mail your letter and then go out to see dad + mother.
When I came home I put your Easter flower at the window and then opened the window. It was drooping quite a lot even though I did water it good this morning.
I guess I have told you about all I know for the present ‘cept I loves you. Honest + truly I do think I wrote you a big letter though. Don’t you? And look at all the fancy i’s I made for you. (Should it be is’?) I guess not. The latter one doesn’t look right.
With all my love to you all.
