My darling

Well, home again. We had quite a trip. By the time we got that girl home and got started it was nearly six o’clock. Lester just couldn't make up his mind. By the time we got to Sugarland he had decided to turn back. He called his girl but she already had another date made so we went on. I wrote a card to you from El Campe which was one of our many stops. I drove home from Victoria and we finally got in at about eleven-thirty. I read awhile and went to bed.

This morning I got up about nine o’clock and fooled around and read. Cornell and I played tennis this afternoon and I guess we will have a bridge game tonight.

I didn’t get a letter from you today but I guess I will get it tomorrow.

I enjoyed every minute of my stay and I love you with all of my heart. I wish I could have stayed last night. Be sweet, my darling and remember I love you

Jimmy
