Wednesday

My darling:

After I mailed the letter to you last night I came home. Mother and I played Russian bank until three o’clock. Dad was outo n his case and when he came home we ate and had a long bull session. I slept late this morning. Got up about ten and read the papers.

Bill got his car. It is a grey one and he is really proud of it.

Billy came by today. He is leaving for San Antonio, Austin and Kenville tomorrow. We thought that we might go to Houston early this week but it didn’t pan out. I didn’t want to tell you about it and get all excited and then be disappointed.

This afternoon Cornell and I played six sets of tennis. They were all close but I won them all. He didn’t feel so badly about it as he did yesterday.

Baby, I am sorry that you felt bad and cried. I just wish that I could have been there to hold you and let you put your head on my shoulder. I love you so honey and I just wish I could see you. That moon is so pretty but it sure looks lonesome --- shinin’ through the trees.

I love you,

Jimmy

P.S. I love you
