My darling:
It is late now. I had planned to write to you early and get this off but I had to sit in on bridge and it is now eleven twenty. I will have to rush to get this off.
I played lazy this morning and didn’t go to church. This afternoon I went to the show and played tennis. Then I cooked some scrambled eggs for Bryan and he proposed marriage. I told him I had already been spoken for and he seemed awfully disappointed.
I think I will cut this short and try to make the train.
