Dear Ginny

Well it won't be long now and I'll be in the land of the rising sun. All of our stuff is packed and down at the pier. It is just a matter of days till the time that we ship out.

I am in hopes of a better chance of getting home soon.

I received your letter yesterday and I couldn't find time to answer it till now. What with pulling M.P. duty and packing and shipping all of our junk it hasn't left to much time to ourselves. I am glad to hear that you like college so well. I only hope I can get back in the same stride I was I was in when I was selected by my friends and neighbors. The way I feel now it is going to be pretty hard. I tried going to one of these schools out here but I just couldn't do it. Maybe it was these GI instructors they have. They just don't make good teachers.

Well Ginny I am going to sign off for now and I hope to hear from you soon.

As Always,

Chuck
