Our 9th Birthday

For almost a decade we've been collecting, transcribing and sharing letters with you, our community. Every summer it's a joy to celebrate our 'birthday'. This year I'm thinking about the 9 things running this archive have taught me as a letter lover and human.

The Big Give

In under 1 week the charity 'From Me to You' have raisedalmost£11,000 as part of 'The Big Give' double donation event. Can you help them get there?

Letter from Dad

Speaking of letter projects, learn about the 'Dad Letter Project' and how thousands of strangers are asking for a letter from 'Dad'. 

60k Hearts

We love this initiative from Germany where volunteers sift through sixty thousand 'love' letters. My favorite part is that the volunteers have a monthly meetup to discuss their favorites from the collection!  

USO Letters

Can you help? The USO is looking to find the family of these lost letters written by "Speedy" around D-Day.

Cafe

You may have heard about the Paris letter writing cafe but you can put another pin the map...the Philippines has opened its first letter writing cafe. 

Epistolary Novels

Some of the longtime readers may remember the 'What Should I Read Next?' podcast episode where host Anne Bogel matched me with books that read like letters. Recently her team have shared a tremendous list of 20 epistolary novels. Take a look and let me know how many you've read!
