Hello Letter Lovers...

All About Letters

October's edition of the newsletter is quite literally, all about letters. I'm so thankful that you're part of this community! And that you continue to subscribe, read, and share Flea Market with your friends and family.

From a letter written 80 years ago today to new additions to our 'Miscellaneous' category, and more, be sure to scroll to the end not to miss your new favorite postal piece of news!

Operation Santa

We haven't enjoyed Halloween yet but I hope you'll forgive me for a little early winter season cheer -- the reason? The USPS has launched 'Operation Santa' with a closing date of November 17th! 'Adoptions' open then.

'Dear Stranger'

For the 11th year running, Oregon nonprofit 'Oregon Humanities' is running their 'Dear Stranger' letter swap -- the only downside is that it's currently just for residents within the state. Would your community benefit from something like the swap? Perhaps a project for 2026!

Jersey Letters

For any letter lovers who are fans of 'The Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Society' this story out of Jersey will surely warm your heart! Young writers between ages 5 and 11 are being invited to submit letters via special 'Once Upon a Letter' postboxes as an island wide competition.

Marathon Training

In anticipation of their 2nd annual 2026 24 hour letter writing challenge, you're invited on Monday October 20th to hone your letter writing strength with a free workshop from the team at 'From Me to You'.

Write More Letters

100% of the proceeds from our 'Write More Letters' campaign go to the charity 'Hope for the Warriors' which helps U.S. veterans and military families. To learn more about how to sport your own Write More Letters gear, click here.
