My Dearest K. –

I suppose U. are wondering why I haven’t written to U. in so long. Well I Was mad with U. that’s why! But when your picture came today I decided to write that I would have to because I am so crazy about it. Really I don’t think that it could possibly be better. I really agree with Ed. he said he thought that it was without a doubt the best photograph he had ever seen. I just love it K. and I am so glad that U. had it made for me. Now I am show people my Sweetheart. I have but one regret that it is not U. sitting here in front of me instead.

I had a mile long ride this afternoon with Merl and some friends of hers. First we went to the Corcoran Art Galleries and saw the new exhibitions which were very good indeed then to ride and afterwards to dinner at the Allies Inn. It is an awfully attractive place and we shall go there when U. come over again.

Loula is expecting her Mother and the family up next week so I suppose we will be quite busy during their stay. They are again up to New York next week end and I may go with them. I don’t know for sure yet.

By by with loads of love and thanks again for the picture. I surely do like it.

As Ever

Thelma
