Hello Letter Lovers...

A Pause for Gratitude

Even though I've lived outside of the U.S. for close to a decade, I still keep the 'heart' of Thanksgiving. There's something about November that makes me slow down and appreciate the year behind us and the one ahead -- an exercise that's a lot like letter writing.

The autumn is the perfect time to write a letter. Year round works too! Every week, I write letters for the charity 'From Me to You'. This habit brings me peace and joy. The lovely folks at Wildflower Illustration Co. want to help you fit letter writing into your weekly routine with their 'Sunday Letter Project'. No cost to participate.

'Mr. Manley'

In the process of archiving a cache of letters discovered in the London 'Mildmay Club', the mystery of the club secretary, 'Mr. Manley', became a story in itself!

'Dear Porkie'

Indiana writer Jerry Davich muses beautifully about rediscovering his parents in this piece-- reminding readers: "When it comes to our parents, we tend to forget they were once young and in love."

Cajun Flavor

Letters are often used as a stylistic choice in storytelling with several films, TV and theater shows using the structure. This production in Louisiana is no different, drawing on the history of 'Cajun French' in a WW2 love story.

Letters Returned

It's not often that we hear about contemporary letters lost and returned but this story from Pennsylvania is one for letter lovers.

Write More Letters

100% of the proceeds from our 'Write More Letters' campaign go to the charity 'Hope for the Warriors' which helps U.S. veterans and military families. To learn more about how to sport your own Write More Letters gear, click here.
