Dear Mama, Papa and Sisters


Will write you all a few lines to let you all know I got your letter and package. I was glad to get them well how is every body. I am well and having a good time would have written sooner but I have been on the go. I am at San Francisco now it is a pretty town. Will go back to Mary Island to day. Tell every body hello for me and tell them to write [ unreadable] I have wrote to Sit Prude. The sooner they put me on board the better. I will like it for I am shore wanting to go over there. I guess my horse is getting fat by now ain’t he. You can do what you think is best about him. My watch is there at the Drug Store I want you to get it and keep it till I send for it. There is lots of water around here I didn’t know it was so much water in the world. I have seen some pretty country since I left home. I won’t take nothing for what I have been. All that I hate is that I didn’t come over sooner than I did. I seen Cody and Ragen when they come and talked to them. They are in the Detention now. I got out of it last week [unreadable] go to Church with you all. I guess the girls have been working pretty hard. I haven’t had much to do only drill think maybe I will get to go to a Machanic School if I do I am going to take it. Has Browes got my spurs yet. Have any of the boys gone yet that had to [unreadable] tho 5th tell them I
