July 28, 1918.

Dear Papa, Maman, + Sis: -

Will write you a few lines to let you know I am well.

Guess you have gotten my letter by now, haven’t you?

I went to see about a the reason, they haven't’ sent any money to Mamam, the other day, they said they would look it up, + see what was the matter.

Say Papa I will get more money than I have here, + don’t you think it best, for me to wait + send more than $15.00 home?

I can send it to Mama just as easy as the government can, + than I can send just what I want to.

I have taken my final examination, both physical + school, + will leave here one day next week, don’t know where I will go.

All of the Hope boys have passed the examination, + will go to.

Don’t write to me any more until you hear from me again, as I will be gone ina few days.

Foy RIley is pretty sick today, with a bad cold, he has the eye ache, the tooth ache, + ear ache,, all at the same time.

I haven’t heard from Alfred for several days, guess he is getting along alright.

I am going to have some pictures taken in a few days + will send you some.

I never could find the ones I lost.

I will write to you the first chance I have, so think of me often.

Your loving son + Bro Rex
