Hello Letter Lovers...
New Series
The newest featured series --The Miller Letters-- is quite literally almost brand new to the archive itself. This 1924 series was part of a collection -- over 402 letters! -- purchased in New Jersey in the U.S. and brought back to our H.Q. in Dublin, Ireland. How did I manage that? Carry-on luggage!
When I was cataloging the letters for inventory I peaked at a few pages and instantly felt this had to be our next series. We'll be sharing the 20+ letters on Instagram and online over the coming weeks.
Grumpy Cat
As a letter lover and cat owner I felt Harrelson really brought this 1960 letter to life last December in London at Letters Live. They've just shared it to their YouTube so I had to include it!
Transcribers Needed
We're a global community here and this call out for Australian letter transcribers may be of interest. They are looking volunteers to help transcribe donated love letters for the Australian War Memorial. You can learn more about volunteering, here.
Toolbox Treasure
When Michigan man Rick Trojanowski bought a toolbox from auction in 2017 he didn't expect to find a 1953 love letter inside! Now, he's sharing the story in the hopes to return the letter.
Heirloom Hunters

The piece features interviews with 'found' photo, letter and military metal collectors who work to reunite lost objects with descendants.

One of the most important things to emphasize about the Flea Market Love Letters archive are that these are real letters from real individuals. If connecting with the humans behind the words matters to you, check out as actors Darrel Brenton and Janet O’Reilly bring life to real WW1 era letters in this short film from CBC NL.
