December 29, 1918.

Dear Father: --

I received your letter and affidavit O.K. and was sure glad to hear from you.

The affidavit left here this morning for For Sam Houston, and will probably hear from them in a week or ten days.

I believe I will get discharged before the affidavit gets back, for they have orders to discharge the men after the first, but can’t tell wen they will start, they will not accept any more affidavits now.

Did you say that Foy and Dill are there now?

I have the neuralgia in my head now, but I am feeling better than I have been.

I have quit driving a truck and am on company duty now, it is to cold to drive here.

Well Papa I will have to close hoping I will get to come home soon.

Your son,

Rex
