December 18, 1918.

Dear Father: --

I received your letter and affidavit the day before yesterday.

I gave it to my commanding officers + he said he would get it there as quick as he could, he will let me know in a day or two if it will go there or not.

I would have written to Alfred sooner but was afraid he ahd changedhis address and was waiting to see if he had.

I hope he will be able ot get out and come home.

They are turning lots of boys loose here to go home who got affidavits from their folks.

It is raining here to-day, + may rain for several days too, it always do when it starts.

Will write you in a day or two, when I find out what they are going to do about the affidavit.

Will have to close so ans soon.

Your Son,

Rex
