Hello Letter Lovers...
Return Ad to Sender
Chances are unless your postal address is under a rock, you've heard something about the Olympics in Paris this summer. But you might have missed the Google Ad in which a father uses AI to 'start' a letter for his daughter to her favorite olympian. After some backlash, Google ended up pulling the ad.
Here at Flea Market Love Letters we're passionate about teaching kids and young people the power of the pen. While this could have been a great contribution to the conversation around letter writing and the future of the form relying on younger generations adopting it, it didn't quite hit the mark. Especially disappointing as it was on such a world stage. We'll get'em next time.
Kids Stationery
Speaking of future letter writers, when I came across these fabulous 'Kids Fill in the Blank' Thank You Cards from Joy Creative Shop, I felt like the kids are maybe, going to be alright.
From Me to Brew
Our friends at the charity 'From Me to You' -- which matches donated letters with folks experiencing cancer -- are asking anyone interested to consider hosting a 'From Me to Brew' fundraiser for the organization. It's a great way to get friends and family together for a good cause.
One to Watch
If you're anything like me, you might finally get a night free and go to pick a movie...and not know what to choose! Have no fear. 'Wicked Little Letters' is on Netflix now. If you enjoy letters, this could be your movie night sorted!
Irish Pen Pals
As readers may be aware, Flea Market Love Letters is based in Dublin, Ireland. That's why when we heard this story about a letter writing exchange between the U.S. and Co. Kilkenny we knew it was one to share!
