November 8, 1918.

Dear Mother:

Will write you a few lines to-day, I am well + I hope you are the same.

It has been raining a little to-day, + has been raining for the last three days.

The San Antonio paper says the War is over, hope anyway, if it is I may get out of the army in 4 or 5 months.

I am going to school now, will probably go for 4 or 5 weeks, I going to try to get to be a first class chauffeur. If I do I will get $51 a month, if only to be a chauffeur only. I will get $44.

I think they will raise the quarantine next Sunday, + then the soldiers can go to town.

Well Mama I will have to close so ans soon your son.
